Discover how therapy can help you uncover the root causes of your substance use and guide you toward lasting change—on your terms.

You’ve been through a lot—trauma, sadness, or emotional pain that feels overwhelming. Substances like alcohol or drugs have been your escape, numbing the intensity of it all. At first, it worked. It made things bearable, even euphoric. Now it feels like it’s only adding to your misery. You might notice:

  • Feeling worse instead of better after drinking or using.
  • Anxiety or depression is getting harder to manage.
  • Moments of guilt, shame, or regret, like zoning out at important events.
  • Repeating the same patterns despite telling yourself it’ll be different.
  • Uncertainty about quitting but wanting to understand your patterns.

If this sounds like you, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure this out by yourself. Let’s talk in a way that feels safe and without judgment, exploring what’s going on beneath the surface.

You can regain control, feel confident, and start to believe in your ability to handle life’s challenges without numbing out. Together, we’ll explore the deeper reasons behind your substance use and work on gradual, sustainable changes—at your own pace. Let’s discover the version of you that’s clear-minded, secure, and unapologetically authentic—the version of you that’s ready to handle life, no matter what it throws your way.

Imagine feeling clear-minded and confident, able to face life’s challenges without needing to escape. You can learn to manage the difficult emotions and embrace the best version of yourself—secure, capable, and present. Let’s start small, making gradual changes that feel doable. You don’t have to do this alone; I’m here to help.

Devin’s Approach: Proven & Research Backed Interventions

Devin Tilley integrates evidence-based interventions tailored to support individuals curious about making changes to their substance use. Her approach balances bold honesty with compassionate guidance, helping you gain clarity and take actionable steps toward the life you want. Devin blends in-depth grief processing with exposure to the intimidating emotions that often accompany loss.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Devin’s favorite tool, MI, fosters powerful self-reflection. Through bold yet empathetic conversations, she helps clients uncover their true values and priorities. Expect deep, thought-provoking moments that help you identify what your truly value and how you’d like to create the life you want to life. It’s an insight-building approach that empowers you to face hard truths and realign with what truly matters in your life.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

When life feels like you’re stuck in the same cycle, Devin uses SFT to shift the focus toward actionable solutions. She helps you to concentrate on practical, future-oriented steps to create change. Later, Devin revisits past patterns and asks reflective questions like,

  • “What would you tell the version of yourself from back then, knowing what you know now?”
This process helps you break free from stagnation and move toward your goals with clarity.
